What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Universal energy re-discovered in Japan, that stimulates your body's natural healing process.

Reiki can do no harm, and helps to clear blockages, physically, mentally, emotionally. The Reiki Practitioner\Master connects into this spiritual energy, which then flows out from their hands and into the body of the client, to remove blockages that are believed to be detrimental to health. It is a magical thing!

Reiki treatments help improve the flow of energy in our own body.

Commonly reported benefits:

Deep relaxation
A sense of wellbeing
Improved sleep

During treatment clients often feel:

Relaxed, similar to a state of meditation
A sense of warmth, occasionally a cool sensation
The sensation of energy moving around, such as a swirling sensation
Or "see", during the session, mental pictures or symbols

As a client what do I need to do?

Other than remove your shoes - nothing!
Hopefully just relax, there's no test at the end!
You do not need to concentrate
If you do not notice any sensations it's fine, it's still working!

What should I do afterwards?

Make sure you feel fully alert before driving, operating machinery
Drink plenty of water, as you would after a massage
Try not to rush straight off into our super busy fast paced life! It's nice to enjoy the relaxation :)

Additionally, during the reiki session, I receive spiritual suggestions for the client regarding areas of their life that could benefit from some attention. This information I pass on to the client at the end of the session. If required I can then email this as an audio file for the client to listen to later.
